Shereen Sami
Shereen Sami is an Egyptian writer and novelist who has made a notable impact on the Arab literary scene. Although she graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Cairo University, she chose to pursue a career in writing, where she discovered literature as a means of expression for her visions and ideas. In addition to her literary endeavors, Sami manages two popular blogs: Hadouta Masriya and Once Upon a Time, which showcase her distinctive narrative style and her interest in humanistic and social issues.
Shereen Sami embarked on her literary career in 2012 with the publication of her debut work A Book with an Egyptian Flavor (Laila Kian Group). This work mirrors her smooth writing style and her talent for capturing details that resonate with diverse readers. In January 2014, she unveiled her first novel The Butterfly's Shackle (Noon Publishing and Distribution). This novel gained critical acclaim for its insightful portrayal of psychosocial conflicts.
With the release of her novel Hannah in January 2016 (Arab Book Library), Sami continues to demonstrate her literary prowess. This novel explores profound aspects of human experience and reflects on significant life events. In January 2019, she published another work, Who Suffers Knows, (The Egyptian-Lebanese Publishing House), in which she examines themes of identity and self-discovery through a sophisticated literary lens.
In November 2019, she released her distinctive novel, 154 Ways to Say I Miss You (Al-Karma Books) showcasing her innovative talent for expressing emotions. Following this, Al-Karma published her novel The Rooms in July 2021, and in November 2022, her work Smile to Be Stronger was released by Al-Shorouk. These literary endeavors highlight Sami's diverse interests and her exceptional ability to craft stories that encourage readers to contemplate the complexities of life.
