Caroline Kamel, acclaimed fiction author and literary figure

Caroline Kamel is an Egyptian writer, journalist, and photographer who graduated from the Faculty of Arts at Tanta University. She began her career in journalism in 2007. She has written for numerous Egyptian and Arab newspapers such as Al-Shorouk, Al-Jarida, and Mada Masr, in addition to contributions in foreign newspapers and magazines. She has also published many short stories in prestigious magazines like Akhbar Al-Adab, Al-Dawha, and Al-Hayat.

Caroline Kamel is also known for her work as a researcher in the field of freedom of religion and belief at The Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights. In 2022, she released her debut novel, Victoria, which received a grant from the Swiss cultural foundation Pro Helvetia for its completion. In addition to her passion for writing, she is a photographer and has published a photographic story titled Corona Has Ended.
